Rubber Tire

Here is my first attempt at making a rubber tire from greenstuff

I made this tire for a 54mm scale german smoke launcher. It went with a set of toy soldiers I was doing at the time. Recently I was asked about making tread patterns. I think the sides of the tire looks good on this one but the pattern in the circumference still isn't quite right.

S scale truck

GMC flat nosed cab

This is part of an S scale GMC flat nosed truck cab. I think it's 1955 model but I'm not sure. I'm really starting to like working on these things. The plastic original at the top comes from Jeff Wilhelm who does all the sculptures on these trucks. You can see how he builds these from mostly plastic and a bit of brown/aluminum putty to smooth out some of the joints. The casting below is one of the pewter masters I made from the sculpt. I have the production mold done on this and a fairly large order for them to get out so back to work.

Something New

I've decided this might be a good place to post in progress and other interesting Items

I've got a large number of models just waiting to be molded. This one is an Amazon Archer that Bobby Jackson did for us. I have the masters made as seen here but haven't done the production mold yet. There are two different ones. I'll try to find one of the others and get a picture of it up as well.

First Entry

This is a test of the entries looks like it's working well.

Right now I just put up this blog to see if I could do it. I don't know how much I'll actually be writing here. Leave a comment and let me know what you'd like to see an article on. Mostly this should relate to miniatures or miniatures related topics but I'm sure I'll drift off topic on occassion.
